The Life Cycle Initiative will host its 6th online General Assembly in September 2022 and, as usual, it will be open to all members of the Initiative. We will use the opportunity to update members on the achievements of the past twelve months and discuss future activities.Â
Steering Committee elections
Another important objective of the General Assembly is for members to elect three new representatives to the Steering Committee. As stipulated in the governance of the Initiative, one seat of each constituency in the Steering Committee (government, business, science & civil society) rotates every year.
In order to respect the geographical representation rule, institutional members from the following regions may opt for election to the Steering Committee this year:
- Government: Africa, North America, West Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean
- Business: Africa, Asia/Pacific, North America, West Asia
- Science & Civil Society: Asia/Pacific, North America, West Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean
Submit your candidacy
Members who are based in the regions noted above and interested to be a candidate in the Steering Committee election are encouraged to send a short description of their motivation and qualification to be in the Steering Committee to mona.mohammed@un.org before 6th September 2022.
For all members, we will shortly be sending the exact date so you can block your calendars. The September/October LC Net newsletter, which will be delivered to your inbox in early-September, will provide further details on this.
Reminder: Membership registration is open throughout the year. You or your institution can join by downloading, completing and returning a signed membership application form to membership@lifecycleinitiative.org.
