The Life Cycle Initiative is co-organizer of a one-day workshop on LC methodological tools oriented to sustainable consumption and production, under the framework of the UNEP project on “Capacity Building in Life Cycle Management and Environmental Footprinting LCA Databases in Latin America”.

This workshop is organized in conjunction with the ProChile Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Council of Cleaner Production (CPL) and the Chilean Network of LCA. The event will take place in the VII Region (Centro de Eventos Lircay, 19 Norte 1665 esq. Avda. Lircay, Talca) on Wednesday 27 November, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The workshop is scheduled as outlined below.

Morning: 9:00 – 13:00 hrs
1) Water footprinting: introduction (basic concepts, global context), examples and exercises
2) Life Cycle Management: basic concepts and a practical approach (improving cycles, and context of the company)
Afternoon: 14:30-18:00 hrs
3) Carbon footprint of product (scope 3): introduction (contextualization) and examples
4) Round table: general discussion
